GNBC advanced into Division East Qualifiers Final as they overcame Ferroviario Maputo in thriller. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. GNBC looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when GNBC made 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Fer.Maputo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Constant Mandimbison (190-90) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Elly Randriamampionona (198-96) chipped in 22 points. Four GNBC players scored in double figures. Spanish Alvaro Calvo (202-83, agency: Interperformances) produced 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and guard Ermelindo Novela (184-91) added 22 points and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Patriots smashed City Oilers to advance into Division East Final. The game without a history. Patriots led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Patriots forced 20 City Oilers turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Rwandan guard Kenny Gasana (195-84, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Elie Kaje (198-95) contributed with 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American-Ugandan Jordin Mayes (190-91, college: Arizona) answered with 9 points and 4 assists and American-Mexican guard Tyray Petty (192-88, college: Utah Valley) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for City Oilers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
